Bablefish is the name of Altavista's translator, which I supposed you used to write your funny message in italian :)
I'm ready for the match. Are we gonna start?

babblefish... sounds like a great nickname for EDMASTER :P
schachfruend 32 ( +1 | -1 )
I MUST ASK AS EDMASTER'S Den mother that you refrain from using negative names and bullying him. Ed is a sensitive soul and an artist. He would recoil into his shell if he is constantly bombarded with child like name calling. If you will not cease and desist I will have to take higher measures. Thank you!

he's a babbling soul... like agentle babling brook.
schachfruend 31 ( +1 | -1 )
ED the Eagle Scout, I can personally attest to ED's ability to crush a 20' circumference tree in less than 100 skull crushing blows with his hammer. Valhalla would be proud to have him stand at THOR's side or maybe Paul Bunyan's? Any other misspelled retorts will be dealt with severely!
taoistlunatic 8 ( +1 | -1 )
Why are you trying to embarrass ed... by acting like his mommy protecting him from the mean chess-players.. ;)
schachfruend 5 ( +1 | -1 )
Because, As it has been stated in these threads may times, I AM HIS MOM.
taoistlunatic 5 ( +1 | -1 )
ed's profile says he is 41 your profile says you are 51, so you gave birth to ed at age 10!!!
schachfruend 30 ( +1 | -1 )
ED Lies about his age to make himself look and act tougher, hence the skull crushing moniker he claims for himself. He is really a gentle soul who needs much love from you as well as me. I love ED, and I think GK loves ED, I just wish he would be accepted for who he is; a capitalistic chess player.

Chesser horse A horse is a horse... of course, of course... And no one can talk to a horse of course... That is of course, unless that horse. is the famous Mr. ED...

Come up to the board, in one accord... But this you must ask, if you can afford... If you blunder at all, he will crush your skull... He's the famous Mr. ED...

Maybe Ed ought to call Brunetti's bluff and actually start a 24 game chess match for once. There are thousands of us out here waiting to see what happens! C'mon ED, go for it.
cairo 26 ( +1 | -1 )
Brunetti will crush Mr. ED 24-0, whats the point?

Mr. Ed needs to go in training camp with Robert James Fischer's book, My 60 memorial games, and not come out for six months :-))

Best wishes

Memorial games ? Is he dead ? Has Bobby passed away and gone to join the great immortals in the sky ? :)

Anyway, My 60 Memorable Games is written in lower case, Mr ED would never be able to understand it !! Besides, he would probably throw the book away as soon as he learnt that three of the games featured were defeats........

Kind regards,

edmaster the rude man,the american thinkless man who speaks a lot...crush skull, crush skull...haha...brunetti,I'm with you, the match will be scored 24-0
taoistlunatic 75 ( +1 | -1 )
Let's not go overboard... Brunnetti is a very strong player, but he's not that great. His rating is inflated because of the gameknot system. He is open about his true rating, I believe he is around 2100 FIDE, a candidate master. Edmaster probably has a healthy rating of about 1800 otb. So while Brunetti would almost definitely win the match, I believe Edmaster could squeak out some draws and maybe even some wins.

This is nothing against Brunetti, I admire his playing style greatly, but there are many players on gameknot as strong or even stronger, (just look at the veteran competition table...) And although I have never yet had the honor of having my skull crushed by Edmaster, he seems to be a great wood-pusher.

taoistlunatic I agree. I'd expect Brunetti to score above 20 though. I'd just like to see (fat chance) EDMASTER play one of his much vaunted 24-game matches for once. He doesn't even do so against lower ranked players, let alone the big boys and girls.

brunetti may not be Grandmaster taoistlunatic, but I can asure you, that in Correspondence games his rating is higher than 2100, I would reakon around 2400 - 2500.
So a match against edmaster, would have no value at all, that would just give brunetti another 24 points :-))

..quote... ...'' Ed is a sensitive soul and an artist. He would recoil into his shell if he is constantly bombarded with child like name calling.''..says frodan is anxious that someone, somewhere might sneak up and CRUSH that shell, thus denying edmaster an escape square from all the hundreds of players baying for his blood.....
